A Message From the Library:
The book, The Indomitable Mr. O, has been donated to our church library. This is the story of how, at age 60, God called Mr. Jesse Overholtzer to found Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and dedicate the rest of his life to reaching children with the gospel. If you are involved with children in any way, you will want to read this story of the world's largest evangelistic outreach to children.
There are also many new books and DVD's in the library.
Last year, Christianity Today announced they would no longer print the Men of Integrity devotional. As a result, Promise Keepers moved to an online devotional, however many men indicated that they wanted a print version. Should you wish to subscribe to a print copy, you may do so at a cost of $5/month. You will receive a copy mailed to your home and a second copy will be donated to a prison or recovery ministry. See the poster on the bulletin board for details.
Remember in Prayer:
Bill Spitzke (health issues), Edith Burgess, Mary Stewart, Horace & Esther Chisholm, Clifford Jewell, our Ministry Staff and the Missionaries NBBC supports.
Planning a special event to be held at the church? A church use form must be submitted for approval by the Deacons. Contact the office for a copy.
· Please help us be good stewards of our finances by checking before you leave to make sure all washroom lights are off and taps are not left running.
· Remember also, to take your garbage and recycling with you when you exit the sanctuary.
· If you attend meetings at the church during the week, please make sure to wash and put away any and all dishes you use.
· Please make sure to check the outside doors if you are the last one to leave the building to ensure that they are locked.
· When the cooler weather arrives, please do not leave your keys or other items of value unattended in your coat pockets. Over the course of the fall and winter last year, several area churches reported thefts occurring during their morning worship services.
· If you are a ministry head, run a life group or have scheduled a meeting that has been advertised in the bulletin and make changes to time or location, please let Beth know so that the information in the bulletin, the calendar and on our website can be as accurate and up to date as possible.
This Week’s Fighter Verse:
"And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." 1 Corinthians 2:1-2
